Our wallpaper is printed digitally and orders are made just for you.  Since most everything listed on this site is made to order, please note that full orders have lead times as listed below.

Wallpaper samples (6"x6") are stocked and will ship out within 3 business days of placing your order.  If any samples in your order are backordered, you will receive a notification.  36"x 12" Large Samples are not typically stocked and have a lead time of 3-4 weeks.  Full wallpaper orders have a 2 week lead time for production.

All standard wallcoverings listed on the site are Class A Fire Rated.  They are wipeable and suitable for residential, as well as commercial installation. Not only is it mold- and mildew-resistant, and scratch- and scrub-resistant, it has multiple environmental assurances including FSC® and UL GREENGUARD certifications, and it meets AgBB criteria (NON-VOC) making it safe for use in homes, hospitals, schools, and public buildings.  For high moisture environments please inquire about Type II Vinyl by emailing info@greenleighpapers.com  Type II Vinyl is not listed on the site, but available to produce in any of the patterns listed on this website.

Dye lots may vary slightly due to the digital printing process.  Please make sure that you place your full order plus overage so that you have enough material for your project.  Ordering more square footage to add to your order at a later date may result in a slightly different dye lot.

WALLPAPER INSTALLATION

To apply on drywall: For best results, apply to a wall surface that has been painted with one coat of builder’s primer and one coat of latex paint (note: this is typical of new construction; a wall surface that has been painted with a single coat of primer or a coat of satin or gloss paint is acceptable). The wall surface should be clean, smooth, and free of debris or contaminants.

To apply over paint: Painted walls should be primed, smooth, and free from debris. Check the wall surface to determine the condition of the paint adhesion. If the paint is old, damaged, or aking, priming is highly recommended.

To apply to a wall previously covered with wall paper: Any old wall paper remaining should be removed as well as the old adhesive (remove by sanding or using adhesive remover). Primer should be applied to the wall surface that is clean, smooth, and free of the old adhesive.

Apply the wall paper

Follow these step-by-step instructions, see video below

• Back Roll Panel to Help Relax Curls

• Place remeasured panels on worktop and spray with water using pump pressure sprayer

• “Book” the wall paper by folding the glue side against itself for approximately 5 minutes (avoid creasing the paper when booking) Note: this product expands slightly in water; for best results, soak and then book each panel the same amount of time

• Unfold the top half of the wall paper, leaving the bottom half of the wall paper booked, and position the glue-exposed portion of the top of the wall paper on the wall

• Once satisfied with the initial positioning, unfold the wall paper exposing the remaining glue surface

• Using a squeegee and then a damp sponge, smooth downward and outward

Tip: Do not over smooth–bubbles smaller than the size of a U.S. Quarter (about 24 mm in diameter) will dissipate as the wall covering sets

the green nature of our product

The Paper: Our substrait, the paper that we print on, is Greenguard Certified, Forestry Service Council Certified, LEED Gold Certified, Type II wallpaper.  It is fire resistant, scrub-able and perfect for use at home or in a commercial space.

The Ink:  The ink is made by HP and is water soluble.  It is packaged in cardboard boxes with a plastic inner liner, both of which get recycled at our manufacturer.   The ink emits no VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and so is safe for the employees of the manufacturing plant as well as for you at home.  Hang the paper and sleep soundly in the room at night knowing that you and your loved ones are staying healthy!

The Process: Because the paper and the ink are so environmentally friendly, they can be recycled directly into the city trash system. Our manufacturer recycles any extra material from the printing process and if you were to ever remove the material from the wall, it can all be recycled at home too! Can we suggest that if you ever have left over material, either keep it just in case you have an issue with the paper at a later date:)

The custom ordering process

Custom orders are at the heart of Greenleigh Papers.  We do not stock our papers, each order is printed at the time that the order is placed making each order truly special. Because each order is individually printed we do not charge an upcharge for the cost per square foot for custom orders.  We believe that custom should be an everyday experience!

If you wish to order a custom color or scale please place an order for BOTH the pattern you wish to order, selecting Custom in the color picker AND the Custom Order Fee.  This fee includes a room view digitally produced based on an image you provide, a physical 12" x 12" sample as well as a digital sample.  The digital image and room view are emailed initially to the client and upon approval the physical sample is produced and mailed out.  Please allow 2-3 weeks for this process to occur.

Custom color: This can be provided to us as a Pantone Color or a Benjamin Moore Paint color.  We will do our best to match.  As there is a lot of color variation in a majority of our patterns, please expect a variance of color within the final product.

Custom scale: Please let us know what percentage larger or smaller than the existing scale you would like your pattern to be repeated on.  For example: 25% larger would make the repeat 36" x 15" rather than 36" x 12" and 25% smaller would make the repeat 36" x 9"

NOTE: In order to provide you with a room view please provide Greenleigh Papers with a hi-res straight on perspective of one wall in the room.  (See example below)  Images with extraneous plants, lighting, artwork or any element that is too difficult to work around will be rejected.
